Following on from last year’s sell out event, 2019 will see the sixth year of The Club to Pub. This summer 1.5km evening swim takes place in the heart of Henley, starting from Henley Rowing Club, and finishing at the historic Angel on the Bridge pub.
The first 400m of the swim is upstream towards Marsh lock. Swimmers turn at 2 large marker buoys and hug the Mill Meadow bank, travelling downstream all the way to the pub.
At the Angel they will be presented with a commemorative bottle of Brakspear’s Two Bells beer, and a medal that doubles as a bottle opener.
There will be a BBQ and drinks available to purchase after the swim.
If you are planning on racing hard, and expect to finish in the top 100 swimmers, please select the performance wave. All other swimmers, both competitive and leisurely, can select between a male, female or mixed wave. Mixed Wave 1 and Mixed Wave 2 are both mixed sex and mixed ability. If you are swimming with friends, please choose the same wave.
Placings will be issued after all the waves have finished, and will be separated into sex and age group categories, along with a non-wetsuit category and team prizes.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE 2018 CLUB TO PUB SOLD OUT SOME TIME BEFORE THE EVENT, AND WE ARE EXPECTING DEMAND TO BE EVEN HIGHER THIS YEAR. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU CONFIRM YOUR PLACE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
